Under the mentorship of Solaris in 2020, a Capstone group designed a small-scale Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) plant in parallel to Solaris working on the Port Edward LNG feasibility study. Both studies contained the same unit operations, but at different scales of production, with the goal to provide a more sustainable alternative fuel to carbon intensive fuels, such as coal or diesel. Solaris has continued to develop fully commercial designs for the Port Edward LNG company which plans to supply LNG for export and domestic customers. Port Edward LNG is designed to be one of the greenest LNG facilities in the World.
The event features
- A presentation on the Port Edward LNG EPCM project from Solaris Management Consultants Inc.
- A networking session in breakout rooms
Speakers
- Terence Portugal, P.Eng., Team Lead, Project Development / Process Engineering
- Paula Reyes-Ramirez, P.Eng., M.A.Sc., Process Engineer
We invite you to the presentation and during networking, to share your perspectives on work, projects and practices for implementing and integrating sustainability and environmental considerations into engineering a better future.
