Dr. James Piret Receives William F. Meggers Award

Chemical & Biological Engineering and Michael Smith Laboratories Professor James M. Piret has been selected to receive the 2022 William F. Meggers Award from the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS), which will be presented at the FACSS SciX Conference this October at the Northern Kentucky Convention Centre in Greater Cincinnati.

The award, established in 1960, is given to the authors of an exceptional paper appearing in the Applied Spectroscopy journal. The winning paper “Augmented Two-Dimensional Correlation Spectroscopy for the Joint Analysis of Correlated Changes in Spectroscopic and Disparate Sources.” was co-authored by UBC Electrical and Computer Engineering and Michael Smith Laboratories Professor Robin Turner, with whom Dr. Piret shares the award.
