ChemECar Wins Pacific Northwest Regional Competition

UBC’s ChemECar team placed first in both the ChemECar performance and poster competitions at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Pacific Northwest (PNW) Student Regional ChemECar Competition held virtually on April 30. They competed against teams from the University of Calgary and Washington State University. The UBC team entered two cars, Catch me if you Chem and KaCHBE. Catch me if you Chem won the performance competition, earning them a spot to advance to the AIChE national competition to be held in November in Phoenix. KaCHBE won the poster competition presenting their car design. Congratulations to the entire team on a job well done!
