Congratulations to Team StormWise Innovations, comprised of ENVL students Jaden Gauw, Jaden Mah, Kajal M., Cindy Chow and Megan Slot and their faculty advisor Zeina Baalbaki, the winner of the 2025 BC Water and Waste Association (BCWWA) Student Design Competition.
The 2025 BCWWA partnered with the City of Coquitlam for the Student Design Competition’s challenge: to assess the feasibility of green and gray infrastructure and improve runoff quality within the Nelson Creek Watershed.
The award ceremony for the winning team is set to take place at the BCWWA Annual Conference and Trade Show. The team will also compete at the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC 2025) in Chicago in the fall.
Team StormWise Innovations’ achievement in the BCWWA Student Design Competition serves as a testament to their hard work and dedication to developing innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
