We are proud to announce that Dr. Peter Englezos, a professor in UBC’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has been recognized as a 2025 Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC). Dr. Englezos’ 35+ years of research experience in clathrate hydrates have made significant impact on carbon dioxide capture, desalination, energy storage, and climate change research. This prestigious recognition highlights his exceptional contributions to engineering and his impact on solving global challenges.
Dr. Englezos will be officially induced at the EIC Gala on April 5th, 2025.
