
We are excited to announce that Dr. David Wilkinson has been awarded the Chemical Society for Chemistry 2025 Rio Tinto Award.
Dr. Wilkinson is a Professor in the UBC department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and a Canada Research Chair in Clean Energy and Electrochemical Technologies. His research is primarily focused on the electrochemistry and electrochemical (and photoelectrochemical) engineering of energy conversion and storage, and water treatment, with a strong interest in creating novel and innovative solutions that translate into tangible impact on energy and sustainability. His research has led to over 250 publications, 82 patents, and the creation of companies like Mangrove Lithium.
