We hope everyone is having a great summer so far! We are the UBC Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) team in the CHBE department, and we would like to inform you of an upcoming summer volunteer opportunity.
VSP is a four-week academic, social, and cultural experience for international undergraduate students visiting the University of British Columbia. Various social events and activities are organized by our team throughout the program to help incoming students discover what it is like to live and learn in Canada.
We are looking for student ambassadors from July 14 – August 14, 2023, to help us prepare and execute various social activities and make sure VSP students have a great experience. This is a wonderful opportunity open to all CHBE students, and you do not have to be present for the entire month. You can choose to participate in a few activities based on your availability.
Perks:
- Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in the social and cultural activities along with the VSP students. This can include ice skating, a hockey and/or soccer tournament, going to see a baseball game, a BBQ on the beach, etc.
- Meet new people from all over the world.
- Practice your communication and leadership skills by guiding a group of students through social and cultural activities.
