Naoko Ellis Receives the 2023 PSRI Fluidization and Fluid Particle Systems Award

Dr. Naoko Ellis and her lab at the University of British Columbia’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering have been honored with the 2023 PSRI Fluidization and Fluid Particle Systems Award. Their groundbreaking research has significantly advanced the study of fluid-particle systems, addressing challenges in design and scale-up of fluidized beds.

Fluidized beds play a vital role in energy and industrial processes, but their complexity makes experimental measurements difficult. Naoko Ellis and her team’s innovative techniques have greatly improved our understanding of fluidized beds, contributing to the industry’s progress.

This prestigious award recognizes Naoko Ellis’s exceptional contributions to fluidization research and further solidifies UBC CHBE’s position as a global leader in the field.

Congratulations to Naoko Ellis on this well-deserved recognition.
