In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the profession of chemical and biological engineering, including important leadership in developing and securing Canada’s energy sector as President and Chief Executive Officer of Enbridge Inc. and in service to the Energy Council of Canada. As one of Canada’s foremost thought leaders on energy engineering and provision, including important leadership in developing Canada’s emerging clean energy sector, Patrick Daniel greatly advanced the discipline of chemical engineering and helped position Canada as a global leader and exemplar. This honour also recognizes exceptional service to our university and to the CHBE department and its students and alumni, including service on the UBC APSC Dean’s Advisory Council.
