The UBC Chem-E-Car Design Team won the Regional Chem-E-Car Design Competition at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Pacific Northwest (PNW) student conference at University of Calgary held April 11 and 12, 2025. The Chem-E-Car team submitted two cars, Wall-E-Car and Gru-Mobile. Wall-E-Car won both the Chem-E-Car performance competition and poster competition. Gru-Mobile placed second in the performance competition as well as a third place in the poster competition. With this result Wall-E-Car has qualified for the Annual Student Chem-E-Car competition which will be held November 1 and 2, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts.
