Launched in 2021, the UBC Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CHBE) Hall of Fame Award recognizes members of our community who have made exceptional lasting contributions to society, the university and the department through their engineering scholarship. New members are inducted at a public award ceremony recognizing their contributions and accomplishment. As well, a plaque in their name is placed on the CHBE Hall of Fame Wall in the atrium for the Chemical and Biological Engineering Building.
From nominations received from our broad community, inductees may include alumni of CHBE or an accredited engineering program with a sustained positive relationship with our department, emeritus or former members of our faculty who have made seminal contributions both to the profession and the department, or professional engineers who have bettered our world and our department through their extraordinary devotion.
